Font Proofer already supports color fonts with a COLR v0 table, but if the font specifies multiple color palettes (in its CPAL table) only the first/default one will be used. This new feature will allow you to choose from any of a font’s color palettes, and even customize specific colors in a palette.

CSS (on websites) is currently the only environment that supports this—no other design software allows for choosing or customizing color font palettes. Font Proofer may be the first! I have a fully functional prototype of this, but I’m waiting until some other features are implemented first.
