Design attributes allow you to customize certain parameters of a section’s layout, such as the font size, OpenType features, or number of columns. You’ll find them in the Design area of the Section Editor (which you can open by double-clicking on a section in the Section List).
Each layout supports different design attributes. For example, the text-based layouts support the OpenType design attribute, but it doesn’t make sense for the Glyph Grid or Image/PDF layouts.
Remove design attributes by right-clicking.
Many design attributes are optional. Use the ➕ plus button to add attributes (ex: tracking). Right-click on a design attribute to remove it. This allows each proof section to only specify the attributes that matter to it; all others use a default value.
The following design attributes are supported by many layouts.
Choose to align the text to the left, center, or right of the layout, or fully justify it to the edges. Default: left.
Specify a font size, in the proof’s preferred typographic unit. The Columns and Waterfall layouts support multiple font size values.
