Design attributes allow you to customize certain parameters of a section’s layout, such as the font size, OpenType features, or number of columns. You’ll find them in the Design area of the Section Editor (which you can open by double-clicking on a section in the Section List).
Each layout supports different design attributes. For example, the text-based layouts support the OpenType design attribute, but it doesn’t make sense for the Glyph Grid or Image/PDF layouts.

Most design attributes are optional. Use the :fp-plus-button: plus button to add attributes (ex: tracking). To remove a design attribute, hover over its name and click the :fp-remove-button: remove button, or right-click on it. This allows each proof section to only specify the attributes that matter to it; all others use a default value.

Use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to change any number in a text field. Hold ⇧ Shift for increments of 10, ⌘ Command for 100, or ⌥ Option for 0.1. This works in list fields too (like multiple font sizes)—you can even select several numbers and change them together.
The following design attributes are supported by all or most layouts.
Specify an explicit top position for the layout’s content. You might also think about this as the layout’s top margin. Auto determines the position for you, adapting to the height of the header and labels. Default: auto.
